The Story

COLORADO TO PHOENIX, 1982 TO NOW

A Buscho-family business that grew up the long way.

Kirk Buscho started a heating and cooling business out of a Colorado town in 1982. Single truck, his name on the side, neighbors as customers. The rule was simple: do the next right thing, every job, every time. That rule never changed.

In 2000 the family moved south. Phoenix was growing fast and the work was endless — old AC equipment failing in 115° summers, brand-new tract homes with ductwork that didn't match their square footage, retiring couples shopping for a real plumber instead of a call-center experience. Kirk picked up where he left off.

Today Way Cool Plumbing & Air is still owned by Kirk. His kids run the day-to-day — Kyle on installs, Konnor on marketing — alongside Kendra Harrison who keeps operations moving. The portfolio has grown to include North Valley Mechanical, UFirst Heating & Cooling, Bristyan's AC, Williams H&C, and Call-Us Plumbing through acquisitions, but the Way Cool flag still flies the same way: family-owned, no scripts, do the next right thing.

Kirk started fixing furnaces for neighbors in Colorado in 1982. Moved the operation to Phoenix in 2000 and never stopped. He still walks jobs, still trains techs, and still runs the company on the same rule he started with: do the next right thing.

Kendra Harrison

Kendra runs the day-to-day. Dispatch, scheduling, parts, paperwork, and the dozen-other-things that have to happen behind the scenes for a tech to roll up to your house at 9 AM ready to fix the problem. She's the reason we hit the windows we promise.

Kyle Buscho

Kyle leads the install crews. Every new system that goes in a Way Cool customer's house — single-stage, two-stage, variable-speed, ductless mini-splits, package units, heat-pump conversions — passes through Kyle's eyes. He sets the spec, he checks the work, he doesn't sign off until it's right.

Sat–Sun 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Emergency after-hours service available based on capacity. $89 service call, same rate day or night, waived with any approved repair.
